Dear opening poster, if you work for a NGO/INGO etc you can apply to join disasterready.org which offers a free course on all the subjects you mentioned including safety and security, that being said as mentioned earlier free books for NGO safety and security are hard to find you can source them from a number of places:

  1. The NGO safety/security network in your host nation
  2. UNDSS Office at your host nation or even by visiting their website
  3. Excellent community at INSSA: https://ingossa.org/
  4. Care International's handbook is also available on-line and is very comprehensive, if you Google "Care International Safety and Security Handbook" it should come up with a pdf file to download and read.

Hope this helps you.
