How have the life cycle cost benchmarks been calculated which are used in the WASHCost Share?

WASHCost

I am using the WASHCost Share to get an idea of the costs that I need to take into account for a new water project I am planning in Liberia.

I've edited the question to refer to the new name of the tool. It was "WASHCost Calculator" but has been renamed to "WASHCost Share".

The benchmark ranges for capital and recurrent expenditure used in the WASHCost calculator have been developed based on the data set collected by WASHCost in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mozambique and Andhra Pradesh (India), complemented by additional datasets. This has been done by selecting only those water and sanitation facilities which provide a basic level of service and are based on interquartile ranges from the data. There are no benchmarks for expenditure on indirect support and cost of capital due to insufficient and unreliable sources of information.
