Does anybody have a guidance note on small-scale landfill
(construction and management) for a population of roughly 10,000 people?

Thanks Sean. I will take a look.
Hi Niall,
For specific advice you could also try an organisation called Disaster Waste Recovery: https://www.disasterwaste.org/
'Disaster Waste Recovery is a not-for-profit organisation that provides immediate debris recovery and waste management support to disaster and conflict-affected communities.'

Dear Niall,
is there any more information you could provide? Location of the landfill (even just the country), the expected lifetime, expected funding sources for running the site... There are some general designing manuals available, but having some context specific information would help provide a more detailed answer to your query
Hi. We have a very small budget to make some improvements in a project in North Darfur. There is very little system in place right now, and most waste is burnt. Rather than create a fenced off area that does little to control vectors, leachate or odour, I was wondering if there are any examples of small-scale landfill construction and management systems. Thanks. Niall
