Is there any suggestion for any safety shoes or other practice which is electric resistant and can save lives from such incidents?
Question from Obed:
Hi, This year on 22nd July we had an incident in Pakistan where two people were killed while crossing rain water as a live electric wire fell from the pole into the water. See link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AGTj... I was thinking do you have any suggestion for any safety shoes or other practice which is electric resistant and can save lives from such incidents?
Hi Obed, thank you for your question. Once electricity hits water it is very difficult to prevent shock for anyone that comes into contact with it. Rubber soles/shoes are traditionally suggested as the most effective footwear, but in the above incident the best option would be to maintain the cables and poles so that they don't fall down. I hope this helps a little with what sounds like a tragic incident. Best wishes Pauline Red R
