Hi, What is the best practice indicator for measuring Sickness Rate at primary schools in Uganda? This is to be used after a WASH project to monitor the outcome WASH has on health of pupils in relation to water based illnesses.

• Total attendance per term, split by gender and class? (to be subtracted from enrolments figures)

• Total days of school missed per term regardless of reason, split by gender and class?

• Total days of school missed per term due specifically to sickness, split by gender and class?

Any advise or tools would be appreciated. Thank you. Lorna (questions changed to be more consise)

Thank you very much Stephen for replying and sharing this tool. There is no attendance (or sickness rate) measurement in this. Is this indicator measured in any other way/ tool or do you not find attendance (or sickness rate) to be a good way to measure the health impacts of a WASH at school project? Many thanks, Lorna
