Want to know about the turbine, generator and pump to bring water to the town?

Question from Tyler:

I am an engineering student in the US. I am working with an investor who is wanting to bring water to the town of Kapedo for agricultural and potable water use. I would like to know the designed that uses the power of a nearby stream (penstock, turbine, pump, settling tank etc.) to pump water to the village. For more information, we have 10-15 meters of head and 500-750 l/s that we can divert from the nearby stream. Any help that you can give would be much appreciated as we look to improve the lives of the people of Kapedo.

Thank you for your time! Thank you for the help!

Tyler has been asked for further information in a private message containing contact information which is therefore not appropriate to share with all! However any other help or comments I am sure would be appreciated by Tyler.

Dear Tyler, base on my experience, it's very easy to divert water from one strem to another using centrifugal pumps. You have also energy source option , you can use solar energy or electricity from generator or local power. First you have to determine the volume of water to be diverted from stream 1 to 2, then you calculate the pressure head, you then set up the pumping time require. Base on (Water quantity, pumping time, pressure head) you can select your pump. So you can try the grundfos pumps by using WinCaps software Find attached a small guide for WinCaps that I prepare but in French Thanks, If any question, let me know
