Hello, I am an Independent English-French-English translator and I
would like to know if there is a Glossary of specific terms, acronyms and frequent WASH-related
expressions, available on your website for download. Thank you in advance.

I haven't found one specific glossary of terms for WASH-related expressions but in most papers a glossary will be included, such as that in the Compendium of Sanitation Systems and Technologies which you can download at this link. If anyone can provide a comprehensive list I would be glad to have it posted here!

Thank you Harriette for your help. Much appreciated!
Hi, in WaterAid we have our own translation spreadsheet that we use with translators, in this Google Doc.
You can also use IRC's InterWater thesaurus, but be aware that it's getting dated now for some mor erecent concepts.
At RWSN they translate a lot of documents between English and French so you can ask on their dgroups.

Thank you very much Rémi. This is very helpful!
Hi there,
EAWAG tried to clarify some of the confusion over sanitation terms that have been an issue for a long while. These are now commonly accepted among a lot of practitioners in the sector. You can find the terms in their Compendium of Sanitation Technologies HERE
Warmest, Amy
There is also this List of abbreviations used in sanitation in Wikipedia (English only): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...
Anyone can add to it and help to make it grow!
