Rural WASH committees
Has anyone got case studies of different 'WASH committee' approaches and alternatives for very rural areas for overseeing maintenance of handpumps and community latrines (at schools, health posts etc). I'm aware that a traditional WASH committee set up has many disadvantages particularly in terms of sustainability but in super remote places are there any tried and tested alternatives? We have the flexibility to try something innovative if we can find or develop a good model.

i have few questions
- What is the preferred model for integrating water and sanitation?
- What is it that is being integrated? 3. Is water supply being made available contingent to achieving open defecation free status?
