Single storey building (clinic) to be constructed on black cotton soil. Guidance required on adequate foundations. Foundations will be required to carry 3.5m of 200mm brickwork and small roof load (galvanised roof). Water level not known. Assumed that black cotton soil is to a depth that can't be excavated. Building plan 5m x 8m. What should be provided in terms of foundations?
